About This Event
Details
Get ready, Carleton Terrace Neighbors! Oktoberfest is coming back to the park! Join us on Saturday, October 24th, from 3:00–6:00 PM at Carleton Terrace Community Park for an afternoon full of food, music, and fun.
We’re serving up HOME MADE German favorites – Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Pretzels, Sauerkraut and more. Kid-friendly hot dogs and chips will also be available. A specialty German Apfelstrudel (Apple Strudel) puff pastry and drinks (wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options) will keep the festive spirit going.
The main event? Bingo with big prizes! Play for everything from gift cards and themed baskets to sponsor-donated big ticket items. Don’t forget the 50/50 raffle and yard games to add to the fun.
Live music from fellow neighbor JD Wayne on guitar will set the Oktoberfest mood, and neighbors can mingle, laugh, and enjoy the fall evening together.
Come hungry, bring friends, and let’s raise funds for our community dock and shoreline while having a blast.
Rainy Day Plan
We are watching the weather very closely these next couple of days. We are praying that the rain and wind shift to Sunday and do not affect our Saturday event. However, should the need arise, we are excited to announce that East Coast Church has opened their doors as a backup venue for the event. Again, hopefully we won’t need that facility and can keep the event at the park, but as a back up plan, it allows us to continue our gathering and enjoy one another’s company without having to reschedule!
Parking & Transportation
***There will not be any available parking at the park during the event.***
We will have 2 volunteers running transportation service between 2:45pm-3:45pm, and drop off at the end of the event between 5:30pm-6:30pm. The golf carts can only hold a limited number of people at a time.
We ask that you request transportation only if it is needed so that the golf cart doesn’t get too taxed getting up and down the steep hill.
If you need a ride, please submit your request TODAY so we can build the pickup schedule in advance. We’ll contact you with your pickup window before the event.
***If you have a golf cart and would be willing to volunteer your time to help shuttle neighbors, please contact us! 321-917-5799***

Bingo
How Bingo Will Work
During Oktoberfest, we’ll host 10 rounds of bingo, each with its own prize. Most rounds will be classic bingo (straight line or four corners) with a few fun variations plugged in to keep things moving. We’re keeping the games quick this year so the action stays lively and everyone gets more chances to win.
You can buy your bingo pack in advance or at the event. You can also buy additional cards to increase your odds. Each game is called separately, so there’s a fresh chance to win every round. Once a prize is awarded, we clear the boards and start the next game. Use as many cards on a single game as you want.
Prizes
Thanks to our sponsors, every round has a prize worth $50-$100 or more. Think gift certificates for massages and restaurants, plus baskets full of goodies. Come ready to win.
Cost
Pre-sale pack of 10 cards: $15
At the door pack of 10 cards: $20
At the Door – Additional cards* (only after purchase of first pack of 10): 1 for $2, 10 for $15
At the Door – Single Game: $5, for anyone who wants to jump in for a round or two
Volunteers
Why Volunteers Matter
Oktoberfest wouldn’t be possible without volunteers. These events take a whole team to pull off, from preparing food and setting up tables to selling tickets and calling out bingo numbers. Every role, big or small, contributes to creating a smooth, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for our neighbors and their guests.
Volunteers are the heart of community events. They help us raise money for projects that benefit everyone, while also keeping costs low so more of the funds go directly back into the park. Most importantly, volunteers bring energy, connection, and a sense of togetherness that makes the event special.
When you give your time, you’re not just helping for a few hours — you’re building a stronger community.
Here are a few areas that volunteers are needed:
Tables and Chairs for us to borrow
Assistant Chefs (helping prep/cook food under the direction of our German chefs)
Setup Crew (tables, chairs, decorations, sound system)
Cleanup Crew (tables, trash, breakdown)
Golf Cart Taxi Drivers (helping neighbors down to the park and back up the hill)
- Photographer to capture the moments and people during the event.
- Trash manager to take the trash out when it is full and and replace liners.
View the whole list of volunteer roles needed and sign up accordingly! The more volunteers we have, the more we can all enjoy the event!

Pre-Purchase Tickets
To make sure we have plenty of food prepared, all meal tickets must be purchased in advance. The deadline for meal ticket sales is Tuesday, October 20th and all sales are final after that date. This allows us to order supplies and cook enough for everyone without waste. Food will not be guaranteed available on the day of without pre-purchase.
Bingo cards and raffle tickets will be available for pre-purchase all the way up to the day of the event. You can still buy them on the day of the event at the door. Pre-purchasing is a great way to skip the lines and guarantee your spot in the fun, and you get a discount on Bingo cards if you pre-purchase!
Don’t wait until the last minute — secure your tickets early and help us plan a smooth, successful Oktoberfest for all!
If you’d like to pay by cash/check/zelle, you can select the ‘pay by check’ option when you go to check out.
If paying by cash/check, contact Ashley Hall before October 20th either by call/text (321) 917-5799, or email carletonterraceparkassoc@gmail.com and she can arrange pickup.
